we found our dream table

So, we went to this awesome place called Green Demolitions where you basically shop for used appliances and sometimes furniture. Everything has been carefully removed from its previous owner’s house and set up in this museum of a warehouse. It’s no Goodwill, let me tell you— we’re talking the most gracious Viking ranges the shiniest Sub-Zeros you’ve ever seen, and the Chanels of toilets bathtubs and sinks (oh my). So, we were disappointed on our way out because we didn’t see anything just right… until I spotted this lonely table stuck in the corner… Jordan and I looked at each other and it was pretty clear that this is the table we’ve been searching for. According to Green Demotions, this table was originally the base to a King’s bed in England… like wayyy back in the day.. So if you come and dine at our house you’ll basically be eating off of something that was slept on in a castle. cool, eh?

So, delivery day was yesterday and we get a phone call that it’s just not going to work out… because it’s too heavy.. Isn’t that what delivery men do? Lift heavy things and move them? So, now we’re going to have to wait until the 19th for another company do deliver it. which sucks. we have been waiting for the perfect table to come along– and now it’s too heavy to get to our house!

So, anyways… this table is going to need some chairs, ya know? I have been scouring the internet looking for the perfect chairs.. We are thinking of doing one long, rustic bench on one side and then mixing and matching chairs the rest of the way around. I found my dream chairs on DWR, but quite frankly, I can’t afford to spend a year’s wages on a damn chair.  (Stay tuned for the chair post)
