dressing ana banana

I’ve always loved to dress my friends. I love clothes, I love styling outfits according to various body types, personalities, preferences and most importantly in ways that bring a person out of their comfort zone and in the end gives them a style enlightenment!

Our first victim is Ana. I would love to dress Ana in something whimsical and dreamy, but now’s not the time. Ana emailed me with a non-whimsical request. She means business. literally. Ana said, “soooo i was looking through all of my clothes yesterday and i realized i need new work clothes..I need to look professional but still trendy and cute– and of course you are the first person I thought of to help me. SO HELP!! PLEASE!!!” (Ana, you flatter me) … but, first– Ana– this is what I wanted to dress you in, just so you know…

OK, so Ana wants to be able to dress for work appropriately, but also stylishly. Ana works from 9-5 at New York Presbyterian hospital– she not only works with epidemiology, but also does observations, and has also developed a proposal to talk directly with patients about what it is she does. In addition Ana is working on a focus group for certain hospital staff. Definitely not the most glamorous of places– usually depressing, dark and laid back. I need to figure out a way to get Ana in cheerful, yet appropriate clothes. There are days where I am hoping she can let go a little more than others– maybe throw her in something a little more sexy on the days she won’t be face to face with patients. On other days, I would like her to feel formal, but still stylish and glamorous (even though Ana has a way of looking glamorous even when she’s wearing a tee shirt and cut off shorts). true story.

Ana’s assets. beautiful, long and lean. Ana has the face of a goddess and the body of one too. Her aura is unbelievable, her laugh — you will not be able to resist. She is sweet, funny and totally unaware of how beautiful she is, which makes her that much more stunning. Ana can pull of types of clothing that most of us rounder women cannot.

So, these are the outfits that I put together for Ana. Most of the pieces are within low price points, but there are a few accent pieces that are more pricey. These are intended to be warn, or used, more often. No matter where you work or what you do, feeling great is essential. right? Stay tuned for my shopping spree with Ana, where we will bring these looks to life!.
