Recently, I decided to tour the Fairfield, CT area and get a feel for the local boutiques. I had no idea I was about to meet a very inspiring, creative, and super sweet person.

I noticed a really catchy window display full of eco friendly cowboy boots (I loooove cowboy boots), denim (which is HUGE right now), funky tie and pocket skirts, and most importantly, LOVE! I could sense from outside that this boutique owner was clearly passionate about their shop and their products. You know when you walk into an establishment and you just feel it– the way it stands out from all others? Lauren Di Nardo greeted me as soon as I entered, and for some reason it felt as though we had been friends forever. Her smile and welcoming nature made me feel right at home.

I drooled over, well… everything, which was mostly beautifully handmade with a little vintage thrown in there. Lauren’s line, in the theme of ‘Live Music Couture’, is laden with swarovski crystals and seventies textiles. It screams out rocker cowgirl chic… if there is such a thing. I couldn’t resist trying on a handful of pieces that totally caught my eye. I started with a really retro piece, that was really beautiful, but my favorite was a stunning, handcrafted “catsuit” (think blank, slinky summer jumper), designed by Lauren herself,f that I fell in love with. The fun and edgy shop was full of items that exuded such a passion for design and individuality, but most importantly Lauren herself was just simply awesome. My experience was so memorable and fun that I can’t wait to go back and relive it all.

If you’re in the area I suggest you go and see for yourself, if not check out the Lauren DiNardo site where you can shop shop shop!. You’ll know exactly what I mean the moment you set foot in her boutique. Enjoy!
