my new obsession

So I’m at the gym the other day, running and watching Rachel Ray… feeling pretty good about myself, when suddenly this segment comes on featuring things women dislike about their bodies. Today’s segment was “things I hate about my eyes”…. I’m thinking– come on ladies. give it a break. Here I am, feeling all cool because I’ve never really had a problem with my eyes. I continue watching, mostly too lazy to reach up and change the channel. This woman enters the stage who gets all worked up about her under eye circles… I never really thought a little bit of darkness under the eye was such a devastating problem?! Jordan isn’t afraid to tell me once in a while that, “you look like you got punched. in both eyes”. I never really thought much about it– I mean I knew I had darkness, but not the extent of it until I got into the locker room. Under those brutal lights, I suddenly noticed the effect that the circles had on my eyes. As I washed my hands I slowly brought my face closer and closer to the mirror only to discover that the Rachel Ray show, which was supposed to make us feel better, made me pretty self conscious about my current eye situation.

I get home, run upstairs and dive into my satchel of beauty products and skin remedies that all promise to do one thing or another. Can any of you take care of this?! I wondered… And then, like magic, a little red bottle floated up in to the air, with a ray of light shining from up above. A heavenly voice read, “OLAY PRO X eye restoration”… me oh my. I washed, toned, moisturized and then dabbed this magic cream around my eyes. One of the tricks, as noted on Rachel Ray was to massage the orbital area, which will stimulate blood flow. dab, massage, admire… I did the whole thing.

THE VERDICT

I couldn’t jump out of bed any faster the next morning. I ran to look in the mirror and the dark circles just sat there staring back at me. (that’s not where it ends). I have been using PRO X for about a week and a half now (that’s right– I didn’t lose hope!) and I am thrilled with the difference I am seeing. I’m not sure if it’s the a.m. and p.m. eye area massages, or the cream itself, but the combination is definitely working. If I wasn’t in my pj’s with bed head right now I would totally post some proof for all of you to see… trust me on this one though– this stuff is awesome, not to mention at a much lower price point than most promising eye creams out there on the market.
