Today was surely a ‘road trip, on-a-mission’ kinda day. Debra is on the hunt for a puppy. An Alaskan klee kai, to be exact. (And a friend for Mimi)… About this morning, Debra says, “I was really excited…” (p.s.don’t count on these quotes being really dynamic… it’s nearly 100 degrees as we sit outside and write this post for you, our dear readers. We gathered our belongings and prepared ourselves, and Carly (Debra’s beautiful, beautiful daughter who actually laughed all day and was the best baby ever), for the 2 hour road trip (each way)… The long ride phased us not… we were just happy to be in an air conditioned compartment for four hours out of the day. (Our roof is being rebuilt and so our a.c. units had to be dissembled for the week. UGH talk about being sweaty).
I packed my Olay Daily Facial wipes, in order to refresh if necessary, some snacks, a video camera to take some puppy clips (which you will be so lucky as to see for yourself- you may vomit from my video taking skills… or lack thereof), and some other boring stuff that had nothing to do with the puppy extravaganza.
I was a little bit nervous to be the navigator… even whilst using the iphone map program I always seem to get myself lost.. BUT we did it.. We arrived at the breeders house and excitedly approached the enormous puppy pen. These adorable little puppies were jumping and playing all over and were just mucho irresistible. Debra was all like, “Oh my gemini they’re so cute… Maddie is gunna have a really good post write about… I hope the doggies like me!?”
The breeder identified them by collar color and design (by naming them she would get too attached… understandable). After the first five minutes Debra and I were referring to Brown collar, Red collar and Purple Polka dot as our favorites out of the huge litter. Pink polka dot was a little bit frisky but seemed to be in love with Debra, Brown collar was mellow and doofy and oh-so-cute, and red collar was just plain sweet and cuddly. Well– they were all cuddly. Puppies rock.
Ok. so, there’s only so much I can really say– I think I’ve gotta show you the rest.. Enjoy this little cliperoo below.
p.s. please note that those red crocks were neither mine nor Debra’s. The wearer shall remain nameless. This is not to say that I don’t own a red pair that are restricted to “around the house shoes.”
