the daughter of a dentist.

Growing up the daughter of a dentist I have noticed that everyone pays very close attention to my smile. Always conscious about the color of my teeth, their alignment, and overall appearance I have always been a step ahead of the game in terms of keeping my teeth a gleaming, sparkling A+. I floss regularly (if you don’t — you better get on it, flossing is SOO important- I know I am a dork talking about flossing on my decor blog), I brush at least twice a day for at least two minutes (same as our face washing ritual, eh?), and I get cleanings regularly!!! Also, I use fluoride products in mouthwash and toothpaste form, which is very important. (Get advice from your dentist, btw, not me… I am just letting you in on what works for my pearly whites).

I have always, always used products from my dad’s office. Every time I stop by I sneak in the back with my purse and load it up with dental floss, toothpaste, floss picks, mouthwash, my gosh– you name it… hell, I even take denture paste if it’s there. joking. no I’m not. yes I am. no I’m not. who knows. Maybe I’ll have a guest come over for the weekend who has dentures? Right? Don’t all of your friends have them? They’re the hottest, new thing. ok I’m done with that one. So back to what I was saying… I’m in Dad’s office and I’m pocketing anything and everything that fits in my bag… Toothbrushes for friends (hey, Dad! I’m sure you’re reading this… what’s up?), handfuls of sample toothpaste… I’m thinking you got the point…

I hadn’t been to my dad’s in a while (FYI I started this post before the jaw pain incident) and therefore I had been lacking in the dental supplies department. I decided it was time to try something new and exciting. That’s when Scope Outlast entered my life. It caught my eye from the moment we met. It was sparkly love at first sight. ZOMG, Hallelujah… This stuff is amazing, my friends. Dad, no more stealing samples! Sorry about that. I have a new set of friends here, Scope Outlast to be exact, sitting next to my sink. What I’m loving about this stuff is that the freshness stays with you. For instance, I mouthwash-ed, and brushed about 15 minutes ago and the tingle that is happening in my mouth is as strong as it was immediately after I brushed.

I know you’re all probably like – umm, why is she writing about toothpaste, mouthwash and floss… but I’m telling you guys, this line is something muy especiale. Every time I breathe in and out it’s like that Dentyne commercial. You know what I’m talking about. Minty, fresh and oh so clean.
