You read it right, ladies and gents! It’s pretty freaking scary that our world has come to this, but at the same, if date rape is a problem that exists and is so totally prevalent, then it is pretty helpful to have something like this available. no? Plus, everyone loves lip gloss… errr
Thanks so my dear friend, Linda, who shared this link with me from the fun site, GIRL-WOMAN-BEAUTY-BRAINS-BLOG, we can all learn about this strange, but helpful kit. British company, 2 Love My Lips, has come up with the safe and shiny concept, which will hopefully become available in the states asap. Their site opens with a juicy-lipped lassie and unfolds to where you can learn about the products and find the slogan that reads, “Not just an accessory.. a necessity for all modern women.” Most women feel it necessary to gloss and plump throughout the night, and so in a handy way, along with her necessary beauty supplies, she also has easy access to a tool, that is actually more important than lip gloss, and can protect her and her gals from harm. way cool.
The 2 Love My Lips website offers a variety of glossy lip smackers and there is also a complete guide to safe drinking tips, as well as a downloadable method for GHB (date rape) drug detection using the materials they provide. This is basically how it works, people…
Each of the shimmery glosses comes equipped with a simple strip, which has been treated so that it detects gamma hydroxy butyrate (GHB) and ketamine. (eh hem.. those are the actual date raped rugs, in case you didn’t know) NOTE* this kit doesn’t detect Rohypnol (Roofies)
Say you’re out with the girls and you lean away from your drink… when you come back to it you have a sneaking suspicion that the creeper sitting a few seats away may have sprinkled something in your glass when you were mia. Odorless, colorless… what’s a gal to do? This is when you whip out the gloss… well, first take your beverage in question to the bathroom, with a friend, and conduct the test there, as it is well lit. Simply dab a bit of your drink on the testing strip. If that strip turns dark blue, that spells out DANGER! Dark blue = presence of GHB or ketamine!
We hope that this new, practical and safe tool will make all of ya’ll ladies, and gents, more safe out there in the UK… and hopefully we will be so lucky as to have something like this in the states soon. Drink cautiously and be smart!
