Hi all, I’m back:) No, Maddie and I did not have a claws out cat fight where I swore off OMG for good….just caught up in baby, school, and a few other projects Maddie and I are working on.

Where to begin…. If any of you met me, you’d see that I have straight hair. When I say straight, I mean pin-straight hair that likes to hug to the curvature of my skull. That’s right….it’s thin too. Pin-straight and thin hair. So…you can imagine my surprise when Maddie asked me to try out some hair products specifically designed to tame and enhance luscious curly locks. At first, I thought, maybe I’m missing something. Maybe my 30 some years of mirror staring failed to uncover the gentle curls that Maddie noticed. As a flat and straight girl who always envied full and curly, I excitedly ran to the nearest mirror to double check. Nope…still straight. So…what am I supposed to do with this stuff?

Well, I’m not a girl who turns down a challenge….or hair products….so I shelved the Ouidad goodies for later use. I thought, maybe I’ll pull out my curling iron, create some sexy twisty spiral curls and use the Ouidad products to hold the shape. Fun! I waited for the next night out. Unfortunately, due to laziness and the lack of a baby sitter, the night out never came. Sadly, the products sat forgotten in my beauty cabinet.

You may be asking yourself, where is she going with this? Ok…well….Todd and I are away for the weekend sans baby in Washington DC. I just walked into the bathroom and saw this:

Now, as some of you may remember from past posts, my husband likes to “borrow” my beauty products.

“Todd,” I asked, “have you been using my Ouidad products?”
“Yeah,” he replied.
“Do you like them?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he replied.
“Why?” I dug.
“I don’t know…they keep my hair in place.” he offered.

Huh. Interesting. I took the cylinder in hand and read the label. Ouidad Playcurl Volumizing Foam – Boosts fine, thin hair and forms curls. Really??? I got a little tingly excited and decided to do some experimentation. I took a couple squirts of the foam and did some scrunching, shaking, and messing. I loved the results!!! My hair looked thick and full. I quickly ran over to Todd and asked him how my hair looked. “Are you serious?” He chuckled. “What” I said, “don’t you like it?” “You look like a lion,” he laughed. “Really?” I said excitedly, “Awesome!!” ROOOAR!

Ok, my review is this. Ouidad Playcurl Volumizing Foam ROCKS! I have to clarify – no curls magically appeared, but my hair did obtain an amazing fullness. Any product that can seriously add volume to flat and straight hair is a find!
