Last Saturday it was SO beautiful out that we decided it was time to buy some bikes. Off we went. We started at an upscale shop in Fairfield, but were quickly discouraged at the price tags, which started at around $700. After a wild search for the perfect bikes, we landed at Target (that’s more like it), which was where we found our true loves… my Schwinn beach cruiser and Jordan’s sporty, spiffy, skinny-tired bike.

The best part was the basket Jordan got for my bike, (which I can’t wait to decorate!!!!! That will be another post!). We went to the beach that day with a Frisbee, a pig skin (yeap), and some clementines (all carried in my basket, just saying). It was the best.

Our dear friends, Carrie and Andy, aka CANDY, will be staying with us for a few days this week (visiting from England!) and so we picked up two bikes from home (yeah I know shh we had bikes the whole time, just not handy that day, and they weren’t as cool as our new ones) so the four of us could ride the beach while there here, have picnics, and do those sorts of things. I AM SO EXCITED!

Ok so here are my bike pictures. I know the blueish bike is really cool and fun, but I went with the sleeker, off-white/silver combo, as it’s more neutral and will match any outfit I have on. I know.

ps did you know that those little, plastic, neon things that go on the spokes to make the fun sounds only fit kids bikes. grrrr.
