Over the weekend, mis padres came over and we all went to Port Jeff.
My mom showed up at the door with this huge plant arrangement for our front stoop (she’s a total green thumb… actually, she is like a green hand, arm, torso– she grew like, a 7 ft. plant from a random avocado pit after making guacamole one day- whatever — you get the point)… so where were we… she shows up at the door- she was looking all cute and stylish, with her new, white sundress, vintage sun hat complete with scarf accent, and a little Sis Boom Bag to top it all off. I couldn’t take it. Oh and her little silver fit flops. Please. She is so cute- she has them in every color. (are you looking at the photo? No! you can’t have them- they’re MINE!– the parents– Not the fit flops?!)
Oh and there is a new development– I have discovered that my Dad reads my blog… like a lot **… and so I will just go ahead and say how cute, funny, smart and special he is…a Fabuloso Dentist too, I might add– in case you happen to be looking for one?! what? You’re not on OMG looking for a dentist? Really? OH and you will all love this– for my birthday– He got me a little monkey- aka This story, which he apparently really, really thinks is funny. I’ve acted it out for my family at least six times. It makes me feel so cool because every time (even if I change the story or make shit up to be extra funny and mix things up) they like, laugh so hard that they cry.
So, yeah. We got to spend the day with my awesome parents. It was a total blast (other than it being about one thousand two hundred degrees outside)… We took the ferry to Port Jefferson, From Bridgeport (holler), spent the day strolling around, laughing, and dining, and then just as the sun was setting we came on back to good old Bport. Really, couldn’t have asked for a better, more special Sunday.
And again, now that I know my dad reads my blog (hi, again Dad), I just really felt like I needed to give them a special shout out and tell them how rad and awesome they are and how much I love them. Ize a lucky gal. Anyways, here are some photos for all ya’ll peeps to enjoy…
**yeah, the other day when they were here I ran upstairs to get changed and mentioned my frustration about not having any clean laundry and having to wear Jordan’s underwear to the gym… my Dad was like.. “yeah! I know!”… Throughout the day, anything I talked about my dad would be like “yeahh! and the thing with the thing, yup! I know! read about it on Oh My Gemini!” LOL. Dad are you laughing right now?! huh?! eh?! Huh?! (I bet you just said, “she’s too much…”) and now every time I see my Dad he’s going to say, “the thing with the thing? yup!”… ok I just had to get that all out.
