So, I was watching Rachel Ray the other day and there was this segment about women who have body issues. Each episode they deal with a different part of the body. Here I am, on the treadmill at the gym, feeling pretty good about everything until this lady comes on to confront everyone’s insecurities about their eyes. From bags and puffiness to woes about eyes being too big and too small I was thinking about how lucky I was not to have any issues with my… eyes. Fast forward to the locker room. I’m washing my face and I lean a in to the mirror closely only to discover a little something that Jordan always refers to. Not afraid to tell me the truth he says, “you look like you just got punched. in both eyes”. aka dark circles. I had never really given this much thought until after watching the stupid episode, which was intended to make us feel better- I think? I suppose I never thought a little darkness was such a big deal. Boy was I wrong according to good ole Rachel Ray’s producers.

Later that night I dove through my collection of beauty products and all of a sudden a little red bottle rose up through the massive heap of jars and containers full of creams and lotions promising to do one thing or another. This little package of promises seemed to have a ray of light shining above it as I unscrewed it, inspected it and applied it. Its fancy little label promises to, “… restore the area to its optimum appearance by improving the look of dark circles, puffiness, and crow’s feet.”. SCORE. Not that I think I have puffiness or crow’s feet (or do I?), but I felt like the luckiest girl as I dabbed on the miracle lotion that promised to remove my dark circles.

THE VERDICT

I couldn’t jump out of bed any faster the next morning to see whether my circles had been scared away over night. I had read on the container that by massaging the eye area you would increase the chance of improving circulation and therefore have better results. Having followed all of the rules I was slightly disappointed not to see any difference. Don’t stop reading though because here I am, 3 days later, my friends, and I am actually amazed at the difference. Even Jordan says there’s a change– and he’s not one to believe in these sorts of things. I therefore pronounce OLAY PROX eye restoration complex to be a eye saver, diminisher of dark circles, and a mood booster. I like everything about this bottle of joy. Even the scent and texture are pleasant. I can’t wait to apply morning and night. It’s definitely part of my new ritual. And there you have it.
