I’d like to share with you one of the most fabulous pillows I have encountered during my 24 1/2 years here on this earth. I have seen pillows… boy have I seen pillows, I have scoured the net for pillows, I have ordered pillows online, I have made pillows, I have brought pillows home to test them out and returned pillows when they didn’t cut it.. and people– I am not talking about pillows to sleep on, but rather pillows that will add a bit of spice and pow to whatever room it is you are trying to enhance.
For me, pillows are one of the final touches in a room that can either make or brake it.. You toss that little sucker on the couch or on your bed and tilt your head trying to figure out whether it works and whether it should be paired with this or that, or whether it should be put here or there and the moment when it all comes together is… well magic. ok, ok, so I realize it’s a bit strange how obsessed I am with these fluff filled sacks. But, listen….
So we were in Colorado a few months back visiting family, and I had the opportunity to meet some really wonderful people– one of them introduced me to é bella designs. All of the items created are made by hand using all organic materials including alpaca fibers. Now, what do you think when you hear that? Let me guess– shabby colors? basic prints, if any? plain? earthy? simple? WELL–Think again, my beauties. These pillows and rugs are some of the chicest looking designs I have ever seen, not to mention they are made with love, by hand, and out of all organic materials (yes, I realize I just repeated myself– but those details are way important.)
Now, if you haven’t figured it out yet, I am a huge texture person, and pompoms just happen to be my thing. Why? I do not know, but they are. I could eat, sleep dream and live pompoms. I could wear an entire outfit made up of pompoms (lots of little ones) and I could work all day in a pompom chair… I could eat out of pompom bowls and off of pompom plates… I could wear pompom socks and carry a pompom backpack… Well, take pompoms, mix a variety of colors in there and I am in pure heaven. So, you can only imagine my reaction when I was studying the beautiful designs and came across the pompom pillow. OH EM GEE. The colors.. OHH the colors… OHHHHHHH the colors… é bella choses fabu color combos, but the awesome thing is that they can make any product into any color that you wish. UH-mazing, right?! My second fave is the sprout pillow. LOVE it!
OK- so- just take a moment and love these images. (Now I kind of want to have a baby for a few hours just to sit it on my couch next to the pompom pillow because they really compliment each other- don’t they?!)
Where did it all begin?! Designer Nicole Linton gathered her initial inspiration in 1999 after a special journey through Peru, where all of her é bella designs are created. é bella says, “Our aim is simple… to provide handmade, sustainable products that fit seamlessly into the creative and eco-conscious lifestyles of our clients.”
