rule number one. when you go to a concert, please don’t sing the lyrics throughout the entire show. rule number two. when you go to a concert, please don’t eat a burrito right before you get there and then also spill your dark alcoholic beverage all over my suede boots. jeeze, people. Also, if you could avoid having a fro and sitting in front of me- that would be great… but I realize some things are unavoidable so I won’t hold the fro one against you.
Just got home from a Ben Folds concert right around the corner from our home at the Klein, which was awesome, but I kept getting so annoyed by the people surrounding me until I realized that I was just in a foul mood. Sometimes we need to do a self check when everything around us seems to be annoying, huh? Also, before I throw a positive spin in here I do want to share that during the entire concert I was waiting for intermission to get some twizzlers, and then finally realized that there was no intermission. This was also very frustrating for me.
Thanks for listening. I should really just shut up because my life is great and that’s actually what I intended this post to be about– mainly my friends… and how grateful I am to have such amazingly awesome ones. Between my kick ass family, my neighbors, and all of those other wonderful people in my life, I am surrounded by such goodness.
I find it necessary to pause and tell you that my dog just pooped (outside) and when she walked away it was standing straight up from the ground. That’s something you don’t see every day. Then she walked past it to continue sniffing around and jumped back because it scared her. That’s something else you don’t see every day.
Well, I’m off to bed, as I’m getting the beginnings of a headache after being so grumpy at the loud girl behind me and stinky guy next to me. I need to take some deep breaths and remember that others are entitled to smell awful and sing as they please.
I’ll try, again, to end on a note of thanks, for the wonderful people in my life and the wonderful life that I have. So, when the lady behind you won’t shut up, just count your blessings and be grateful that she wont be sitting next to your ear for more than 1 little hour of your life.
life is good. life is grand.
I suddenly want a 100 grand candy bar.
