well. we officially have not one… but TWO swings in our house. TWO SWINGS. YES! It was a surprisingly easy and fun adventure (well, I shouldn’t say that yet.. it’s still in the works). Only a few bickerings along the way so far (because I was trying to do another project in the kitchen and I wanted to hang it “improperly”).. but overall it’s been good and fun.

SO we went to Home Depot and you should have seen the look on the woman’s face when she asked what we needed help with. She wasn’t sure what to say … all she said was, “Um. Oh. Is this for your basement?”… What?! No why would it be for our basement haha. It was even funnier asking the previous guy where we could find 50 ft. of rope.

Literally 2 hours later we walked out with the ideal supplies. As I type I am running out and spray painting the seats (black) and Jordan is working on the technical stuff up on the ladder.

Actually, I lied. at this very moment Jordan is swinging from a single rope hanging from the ceiling screaming, “We shouldn’t be allowed to have our own houseeee.”

Well it’s oficially 24 hours after I wrote the previous message and since then the swings have been perfected and swung on to immense proportions, and pillow designs for atop the swings have already been determined (think big floppy pillows with HUGE pom pom edging).

There’s not much more to say about the swings in our house other than that they are amazing and you can actually really swing on them to the point where it feels like you’re outside on a playground and you just can’t stop laughing because the whole thing is sort of ridiculous in a great way.
