Jordan always says I’m weird about chicken, but I have good reasons. There is nothing like a nice, clean, lean piece of meat. Once you get a bone, or gristle when it’s not supposed to be there, it’s the grossest thing ever… for me at least. Texture is also huge when it comes to chicken… if my chicken is rubbery or funky- NO THANKS!
You’ve gotta come and eat my garlic chicken sometime.. trained by Mama Rhodes, best chef in the universe, I slow cook it in a clay cooker with few, simple, healthy ingredients, and serve it up as it falls off the bone… juicy, tasty, and unforgettable. YUM.
So today, when Jordan went to make himself a Lean Cuisine meal that featured chicken, I had a moment of, never again. Folks, I am here to say that after today, no man of mine will ever eat a Lean Cuisine… and not for any other reason than the chicken is so weird and gucky… we’re talking rubbery, reconstituted, chewy chicken… Jordan eats Lean Cuisine like it’s his job because of it’s quickness, easiness, and tastiness.. not because he’s trying to be lean.. but today I drew the line.
I took that Lean Cuisine away, to Jordan’s dismay, and replaced it with a delicious, scrumptious meal. Two pieces of garlic bread, toasted to perfection with melted brie atop, greens tossed in olive oil with a lite salt and pepper, some veggie chips, and a sauteed mix of portobello mushrooms and sweet potatoes. OMG my mouth is so watering right now
