Debra gets real about DDF Glossy Lip Treatment SPF 15

I hate everything about dry lips. The look, the feel, and the constant need to moisten them with your tongue which only makes them worse. Due to this, I have become a pretty serious lip conditioner connoisseur. I made my last purchase with husband in tow about a month ago. He looked at me cross eyed when I counted out twenty bucks for a luxurious balm. “I don’t see you buying Bud Light,” I countered. No response. However, interestingly, after a few weeks the balm disappeared from my purse and “reappeared” in the driver side door pocket of my husband’s car. It was a good balm, and clearly, I needed to eliminate the competition.
I think I’ve found the solution. DDF’s Glossy Lip Treatment with SPF 15. It claims to…soften , smooth , seal in moisture , have SPF 15 protection , and is glossy . Wait, glossy? Jackpot.
Glossy. A trait I’ve typically found in the more decorative lip glosses, rather than those designed to protect and improve conditions of the lip. Not only will I look sexy while keeping my lips smooth and perfect, I feel confident betting all of you one tube of this fabulous $19 lip gem that I won’t find it residing in my husband’s car a few weeks from now.

THE VERDICT

Ok, on to the review. Along with glossy, I love that this has SPF in it. I feel protected and sexy all in one. It is not clumpy or runny and when the wind blows not one strand of hair gets caught on my lips. It has a convenient tube with applicator – and please note that after a few day of handbag life, the tube fails to leak or clean out the lint in my pocket book. Another huge plus is that it lasts. This morning I applied the treatment before I went to the gym and guess what, the product was still on my lips after an hour workout! Probably not in the condition of initial application (I didn’t actually look in a mirror), but I felt its smooth texture. In addition to the above, I should mention that it has a subtle minty smell and taste. Not overwhelming at all.
So, my final take on this product is that it is great. If you are looking for a lip protector that has the positive qualities of a gloss, then this is it. You won’t be disappointed.
