Do any of you ever see images that just reach out to you?! Yeah- I’m sure you do– we all do, right? Well, one thing about me is that if I see something inspirational, whether it is a picture in a decor magazine, a color, a piece of wallpaper, a book cover, or even a person, I cannot let it go without either taking a photo or a piece of it. (Don’t worry, you’ll never find me tearing off a piece of your wall paper as an inspirational keepsake… well, probably not… unless you have exceptional taste)
So, in a sense, when I look through all of my inspirational images, which I end up keeping in a folder on my laptop, I feel like I am opening these huge double doors and taking a peek at my brain. It’s like a surge of energy when I see all of these things at once that have each individually inspired me at a random and unexpected moment in time. To have them all in front of me, together, can be a bit overwhelming. But for you all, I will suffer and complete this post. You’ll see…
As I was brainstorming some fun post ideas I thought– it would be so cool if I could just share with my readers the things that flow through my brain before my writing and ideas come into fruition. I took a break to dabble around my computer and sure enough the first place I went was my handy dandy little decor & lifestyle inspiration folder.
So, here, my friends, is what my brain looks like on the inside. Apparently I don’t have two, jello-like, wormy, blobs that sit side by side looking like a normal brain, but rather a romantic country scene full of peonies, voluminous teased hair, Persian rugs, exposed brick with large wall hangings, tutus and tool (OMG!), frills, feathers, fluff, cute little nests with bluebird eggs, and… pizza.
p.s. many of these photos are from The Selby , which (if you haven’t already gotten the hint that I am obsessed with it and always tell you to go check it out) you should go see.
