what if you could walk into a loft style, uber chic, yet cozy, inspiring, light and airy world of fancy threads, zippers, ballet flats (to be embellished), stylish tees and tanks, uh-mazing fabrics, the sweetest little sewing kits you’ve ever seen and just… craft… craft… and craft… (and shop too, of course). Imagine the room being full of other creative, interesting people, there to share their ideas and teach you new tricks of the trade… imagine being in the heart of sweet, adorable Fairfield, CT– with a delicious, bohemian cafe to your left (literally) and the best wings in town to your right. Wait, let’s see… Buttered Brioche With Nutella + crafting + wings… perfection.

A few weeks back I stopped by and saw the beautiful location before all of the goodies were put out… the juxtaposition of soft, delicate pink walls, and rough-chic, grey cement floors was delicious. Antique suitcases, stacked in a pyramid stood next to the counter and fancy little nesting tables sat next to the ultra-modern, white leather couch. Needless to say, the decor was outrageously perfect.

When I re-visited the fabulous location a few nights ago for a sweet lil’ toast, it was as though a shipment not only of totally awesome notions and accessories had arrived, but also happiness and love. All three lovely owners and their loved ones were there. Darling little spools of thread, glittery buttons and gems lined the fabulous tables and presented themselves against top of the line, vintage-inspired sewing machines. Adorable children ran around laughing an having fun. The place was dimly lit, and was full of this awesome, positive energy that was as tangible as the plethora of treats cascading across the tables and shelves.

Geesh- do you understand how awesome this is? Take a look at their mission statement, because all I keep blabbing about is the people and the goods… and then seriously, throw on your shoes, and get over to make & mingle. I’m saying it now– this is the next best thing.
