i haven’t forgotten you

Hi people. I realize it’s been about a year since I last wrote to you all, and I’m hoping and wishing that you haven’t really noticed… well.. I just blew my cover, didn’t I.

Somewhere in the midst of baked ziti, tree trimming, sleepovers with my little cousins, present unwrapping, teaching grandma how to use her new cell phone (or as she calls it, a “self phone”), I realized.. wow. I have totally not been attentive to my beautiful and lovely readers. I felt bad for a few minutes and then I continued to do holiday sorts of things– like eat tons of cookies and heat up leftovers… re-visit my holiday presents and wear / use everything all at once as though I was an overactive 5 year old who couldn’t get enough of her new goodies…and then I sat down to write a post… but it didn’t work. It was so totally difficult for me to switch from loving and cheerful Holiday, tree decorating, candle lighting Madds to oh so totally hip, cool, stylish, sometimes cynical, overly exaggerating, not able to shut up easily, blogger gal. what?

So here we are. I still don’t know what I feel like writing about… so maybe I will tell you about one of the coolest gifts I received. brace yourself. The Cuisinart Easy-Pop Popcorn Maker.

Jord and I used to make popcorn in a bag like, every single night (so healthy, right) and then one day we were listening to NPR … apparently there is a serious issue with the chemicals in the bags that popcorn pop in and we were likke, OHH great– what are we going to do with the 700 bags of popcorn we just got from Costco. Well, we’ll probably still eat them, but now we have this fantabulous addition to our home which makes us very, very happy. yay.

So I got a lot of things done that I have been meaning to do for months, yet I still have things left to do that I have putting off forever. What did I do? Well the most exciting thing I did was vacuum every single nook and cranny of my home (within reach).. I also started to organize my office, which totally didn’t work because it’s still a disaster, and then I wrapped about 1,000 presents in re-usable items, like bandannas and little eco bags that I made myself. I know, I am so cool.

Ok. I am going to stop before I start going into sorts of things that I bet you won’t find interesting.. plus there happens to be a cool show on HGTV right now and I am totally distracted.

Will you pretty pretty pretty please with a cherry on top write and tell me what your best and worst gift was?!?!?!
