People. I learned something new this year. Valentine’s day has nothing to do with chocolates… really nothing to do with little cards, red roses, or making reservations in overstuffed restaurants. What then? You may ask… What, Maddie, is Valentine’s Day all about?

And this is my answer…

Go to CVS. Purchase some cheap white tights.

Order a tight, blonde curly wig from Amazon.

Snag some white wire hangers from around the house (wings)

Find that huge cheek stain blush you HAD TO HAVE

Locate knitting needles in your office (to make arrows out of. Duh)

Find those wooden rods you almost used to hold up that huge star on your tree (for your Bow)

Construct wings…

……And… design the most beautiful Cherub outfit that you can imagine.

Finally… like any normal 24 year old woman with a soon to be 26 year old boyfriend… dress up and surprise your Mom. Request that people snap a few shots so you can tell your blog friends all about this strangely exciting event.

And that, my friends… is the recipe for a beautiful Valentine’s Day.
