Lucky Days

We’re at my parents house… I can’t say we’re stranded here because that implies that it’s a bad thing… I’m sitting at the dining room table, writing this post to you, as I look out onto the water. One of the most beautiful things you could possibly wake up to and work to. The reason we are here? We were so lucky as to get a flat tire yesterday and we are spending today figuring out where and how to get it all fixed. I know that sounds like I’m making something that is quite simple overly complicated, but our donut (tire) looks like it’s about to burst, and we want to take care of the situation while we are in this neck of the woods (New Fairfield). It seems as though June has been a pretty unfriendly month in terms of material things breaking and dying, but I just keep trying to remind myself that it’s not those things that matter so much.

So, while I sit here waiting for Harry’s House of Tires to call me back … I decide to go into dream mode and imagine what life would be like if I were in paris right now, sitting in a cafe, enjoying a croissant (there always has to be food involved), sans any worries in the world… no bills, no flat tires, no crashing hard drives.. nada. In any event… this is what I would be wearing.
