So, as you may know from my summer hair post the other day, it was time for new, “summer friendly” shampoo / conditioner combo as well as a less liberal application process. The next time I showered I took it real easy with the conditioner and only applied a small dollop (I dislike that word strongly, but still choose to use it) and after a few minutes rinsed it out. When I got out of the shower I sprayed some delicious smelling leave in conditioner only on the ends, and let my hair air dry.
I am like a new woman, peoples! I swear! My hair is light, airy, bouncy, full of volume and smooth!! Who knew that conditioner on the roots could give you such a flat head? Not me, apparently. It only took me 24 years to figure this out.
What, you wonder, was the magical serum I applied to my locks? (drum roll please…) It’s this new, fancy line by Pantene Pro-v called Nature Fusion! I assure you that this stuff is a charm, smells delicious, gave my mane an indescribable bounce and oh so soft feeling. It shall remain in my shower caddy until winter hair supplies come in kick its arse out of the way… which will be pretty soon– (heya I have a feeling this will be awesome in the winter too, though?!). (A big, capital UGH to the fact that It only took me the whole summer to figure out ideal summer hair care. yeah).
…Oh and before I go on can I also stress that my hair was soo much easier to comb after I used the Nature Fusion products. I have really, really long hair… like, “why doesn’t that girl get a hair cut”-long hair… it’s usually tangled and in a rats nest after the shower (shut up), but this stuff really did help loosen those knots and make the used-to-be headache worthy brushing session much easier– like buttah (not that you should visualize butter in my hair… well you can if you want, but eew). But really, my fave thing about this dynamo duo was the softness and bounce of my locks after repeated use. True story.
SO, other than the obvious delicious smell of this concoction, let me tell you a little bit about it. In addition to avocado, bamboo and grapeseed extract, this wonderful potion of a shampoo and conditioner collection includes cassia (aka “bastard cinnamon” LOL IRL), which is derived from a plant that grows in southern China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and India — these trees are stunning and produce bright yellow flowers (beautiful both on land and in your hurr!). Read more about the cassia plant on bella sugar!
See what beautiful model, actress and author, Padma Lakshmi, has to say about the line! (recognize her from Top Chef!? I just put that together…). jeeze louise, I would not mind being her… on that note, I’m gunna make myself a nice lil’ beauty food snack)… errr wait, do you think that by using this Nature Fusion that I will come out of the shower looking a little more like padma lakshmi each time? Yes, please.
