Apple store blues

I sit here waiting for my computer diagnostics to run their course and I can’t help but to remember the last time I was here… It wass after the fateful folder a la question mark presented itself on my screen prompting a loud yelp from yours truly… Followed by a helpless whimper.

One attempt after another,  Jordan and I failed to resuscitate my darling MacBook, which resulted in the oh-so-disappointing face that Jordan makes followed by, “I don’t know, Madds…” it’s disappointing because it happens never. And when it does, you know that shit is bad and scary. Jordan is like the magic man who can fix anything … So when he throws up that white flag, you know he has given it his all. It sucks, man.

It was at the Genius bar that I was told my computer was dunzo and it was at the Guenius bar that I lost control of my emotional self and started sobbing full fledge with snorts and a runny nose and that dreadfully embarrassing gasp for air that manifests itself as a loud gasp. Jordan was trying not to laugh, but the fact that the last 3 years of my digital life had just gone down a tube that deposits itself into a large vat of apple juice transformed his smirk into teary eye.

Why am I sharing this scary computer story with you?! Because the sad reality of me not being able to revive my beloved documents and music and Photoshop things put into order my goodwill service of reminding those around me to back up as often as I could remember.

With all of that having been said, I, with my perspiring arm pits and increase heart rate after having remembered the horror of it all, officially remind you to back it up… Back that ass up and back that computer up!!!! Do it!!! (I’m actually here now bc my ish wasn’t backing up and I needed a genius to hook a sista up.

Have a kick ass day, my fellow computerites. I’ve gotta get back to waiting… waiting for my 4,000 photos to transfer. Apparently that’s a lot of photos.
