Newtown, CT

In the midst of my lipstick and denim posts, between the awkward memoirs and stories about my pets, I really have to take a pause and acknowledge the thing that is most important right now.

Just as we’re all hearing, and saying, there really are no words to describe the extreme sadness, pain, and sense of loss we’re all experiencing after the horrific, heinous crime in Newtown, CT. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and suffering of the families who lost children and family members, and all of those who live in the Newtown, CT community.

Since we are ALL a part of this community in some way, shape, or form, and since many of us have the strength right now that those families might not…  Can we all come together and send love and warmth to their families during this time. Can we all take a moment of silence together, in remembering the sweet, sweet, children and adults that lost their lives. There is no single thing that will heal these families for a long time, if ever, and so let’s just keep sending them support and strength in any way we can– prayer, meditation, being present in their community to lend a hand… If we all do this together, every day, and even if it makes just an ounce of difference, it’s what we’ve got to do.

Let’s count our blessings and send the goodness that is in this world to the families that need it so much right now, and forever more.
