My Mother dear recently emailed the chillen kindly requesting a list of what we’d like for the holidays… which kind of makes you feel like an ass hole. There’s something so gross about taking time from your day to compile a list of things you WANT and would like to open for the holidays. Sure, it’s my Mom and I know she is doing this with kindness and because she loves gifting us exactly what we want, but still. You feel that by cooperating and supplying your Mother with this list just makes you kind of a terd… not the cooperating part.. the asking part.
Mom called me again this morning asking what it was we’d like as gifts. She wants us to have nice presents to open… things we really, actually want.. and I get it, she needs some time to collect and wrap the goods. In the moment I had enough on my mental list… and I actually had the extreme audacity to give her a slight pinch of ‘tude.. like, I can’t possible do ONE MORE THING.. like, TELL you want I WANT for the holidays. geez. back up off me, Woman! Then I felt like a jerk. (hi Mom)
I got home and realized that it would actually just make my Mom’s life easier if I broke it down for her and gave her this list she’s been requesting. Still feeling slightly like an ass hole, I compiled a visual selection of goods ranging from lipstick to Kai products, and figured that Mamasita would see this (knowing she reads up on my shit every day. holler, Mom).
